Take any painting off Instagram, give it to an AI, print the result on a T-shirt and sell it. That takes four minutes and costs nothing. Temu does it at scale, Meta trains its own AI on what you post there — and the artist usually finds out from someone else's photos.
Nobody can stop it
Not a watermark, not a licence text, not a lawyer in another country. The images are out there, the machines have already learned from them, and the people printing them are not going to ask.
Pretending otherwise would be a comfortable lie. So we stopped asking how to block it and asked a different question: what would a shop look like where the artist is not the raw material but the seller?
The seal
Everything sold here carries one mark: Artist Fair. It means three things, and all three are checkable.
The artist is NAMED — every piece says whose style it was made in. The artist is LINKED — the address of their page is printed on the work, and the QR code leads to them. The artist is PAID — every order pays them a licence, on top of our price, not deducted from theirs. They get an email the moment it happens.
Why the amount is not on the seal
Because it differs: a print is not a T-shirt is not a generated picture. What matters is not the number, it is that there is one at all — and that the artist can see it in their own inbox.
What this asks of you
Nothing heroic. Buy the version where the person who made the style gets something. It costs a few euros more than a copy from a marketplace, and those few euros are the entire point.
You cannot stop the theft. You can refuse to buy it.
